Lighting Coming Out is a Protest is a ritual of resistance, and a bold declaration that living out loud, queer, and unafraid is a revolutionary act. In a world that demands conformity and obedience, being your authentic self (especially when that self defies gender rules, rejects compulsory heterosexuality, or refuses to shrink to fit) is a flaming middle finger to the patriarchy. Every flicker of this flame says "fuck your binaries, fuck your fear-mongering, and fuck your fascist expectations."
However, protest doesn’t mean martyrdom. Coming out is a radical act, but it’s also deeply personal, and no one gets to dictate when or how you do it. You don’t owe your truth to anyone but yourself, and there’s no expiration date on self-revelation. Safety, readiness, and power are yours to define. Whether you’re loud and proud or quietly plotting your moment, your existence still defies the system.
